I just tilled an area of hard pan (very hard) and roots. Without the drag bar all the way down, there would be no way I could control it in the roots. The model I received looks slightly different than the picture. My reverse is controlled by a handlebar lever the same as the tine control and the drag bar is the heavy bar stock not the puny pipe as pictured. Choke, speed and fuel shutoff controls are easy to get to and it is a one pull to start. Now the bad part. The packaging is atrocious. It is loosely cable tied to a small pallet inside a cardboard somewhat reinforced box. There were explicit handling instructions on the box that the shipping company didn't pay much attention to. It was a sad looking sight sitting in my driveway with the handlebars poking through the box. I would have refused delivery if I had of been home. I brought the first FT 900 home and sat it in the garage, never saw dirt. I was surprised to see a big red spot under the transmission. I called the Husqvarna dealer I purchased from and he said to bring it back. So I exchanged it for another tiller same model the FT 900. When I finally had a break in the weather, I went to get the tiller, and this replacement had the same problem (maybe a little worse). If you placed your hand on the bottom of the transmission you would come up with quit a bit of red fluid on your hand. Same thing as the first unit I exchanged. Remember this is a sealed unit with no way to check/add fluid. Since I have not read that anyone else has had this problem. I might have had a couple bad FT 900 tillers. I was afraid the more you run it the more it would leak. So I got a refund. I never...
